Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern the Website Pilot supplied by Techne Kaizen. Please read them with the Website Pilot offer and the Refund and Cancellation Policy before paying the deposit.

1. Trader identity and contact details

Techne Kaizen is a trading name of Joshua Nimako, sole trader.

2. Who may purchase

The Website Pilot is designed and marketed primarily for service-based businesses. At checkout, you must accurately state whether you are purchasing wholly or mainly for purposes related to your trade, business, craft or profession, or wholly or mainly for personal purposes.

A checkout statement records the factual purpose of the purchase. It does not remove statutory rights or turn a legally qualifying consumer into a business customer.

3. The Website Pilot service

The fixed Website Pilot package includes:

• up to five bespoke main content pages;
• four structured revision rounds before launch;
• copywriting or copy improvement for the agreed pages;
• a custom-theme WordPress implementation;
• basic search foundations and the agreed measurement setup;
• WordPress administrator access;
• six months of hosting; and
• the ownership and portability arrangements in section 12.

The Website Pilot is for straightforward service, lead-generation and informational websites. Unless expressly agreed in writing, it does not include ecommerce, marketplaces, SaaS products, complex membership systems, substantial bespoke software, paid third-party licences, premium plugins, paid fonts, stock assets, a domain name, ongoing advertising management or ongoing SEO services.

If a requested project is outside this scope, Techne Kaizen may decline it and refund a Website Pilot deposit in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

4. Price and payment

The total Website Pilot price is £600. The payments are:

• £200 deposit due now. This forms part of the £600 total and is not an additional charge; and
• £400 remaining balance. This becomes due after you approve the completed website and it is ready for launch. It must be paid before launch.

No optional extra is included or charged unless you actively choose it and agree its price. Properly agreed work outside the package is quoted separately.

5. Contract formation

Before payment, checkout shows the service, total price, staged-payment structure, balance trigger, hosting arrangement and links to the applicable legal documents. The payment action is labelled to make the £200 deposit obligation clear.

The contract is formed when the £200 deposit payment is confirmed, unless Techne Kaizen has told you in advance that further manual acceptance is required. The contract record is bound to the legal-document versions and acknowledgements presented for that checkout.

6. Customer information, materials and cooperation

You must provide information, content, images, brand assets, access, feedback and approvals reasonably required to carry out the project. You confirm that you have the right to provide and authorise use of the materials you supply.

Project targets depend on prompt onboarding, starting information, assets, access and revision feedback. Techne Kaizen is not responsible for delay to the extent it is caused by missing or late customer inputs or by an agreed change of scope.

Do not send passwords or sensitive credentials through a channel that Techne Kaizen has not approved for that purpose.

7. Draft and launch targets

The first working draft is targeted within four working days once onboarding is complete and the information and materials reasonably required to begin have been received.

Launch can typically be ready within approximately ten working days where onboarding, information, assets and revision feedback are provided promptly.

These are targets, not unconditional guarantees. Techne Kaizen will communicate material changes to the expected timetable.

8. Revisions and changes of scope

The package includes four structured revision rounds. A revision round is a consolidated set of feedback on the current version.

Requests beyond four rounds, requests that materially change the agreed direction, new pages or functionality, or other work outside the fixed package may require a separate quotation. No extra charge is incurred unless agreed in advance.

9. Approval and the £400 balance

Techne Kaizen will ask you to approve the completed website when it is ready for launch. Approval may be given through the agreed project communication channel and will be recorded.

Once the completed website is approved and ready for launch, the remaining £400 becomes due. The website will not be launched until that properly due balance is paid.

10. Hosting after the included period

The first six months of hosting are included in the £600 Website Pilot price.

Hosting does not automatically become a paid subscription under this offer. Before the included period ends, you may choose either to:

• continue hosting with Techne Kaizen for £20 per month while the website remains continuously hosted under this package; or
• move the website to another suitable host.

Techne Kaizen will charge £20 per month only after you have chosen and accepted continued hosting. Any future recurring-payment arrangement must be separately and clearly agreed before a charge is made.

11. Hosting service and routine support

Continued Techne Kaizen hosting includes the hosting service, SSL certificate, backups, WordPress core maintenance, uptime monitoring and security updates described in the offer. While continuously hosted under this package, up to one routine content change request per month is included. Larger changes or new functionality may be quoted separately.

Techne Kaizen may take reasonable steps needed for security, maintenance and service reliability. Planned or emergency maintenance and events outside reasonable control may affect availability.

12. Ownership, licences and portability

After the Website Pilot is paid in full, you own the completed custom website content and custom work created specifically for you, subject to third-party rights and licences.

WordPress, plugins, fonts, frameworks, stock assets and other third-party material remain subject to their own terms. You receive WordPress administrator access and may move the completed website to another suitable provider.

Techne Kaizen may retain its pre-existing tools, know-how, reusable methods and non-customer-specific components.

13. Cancellation and refunds

The separate Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the commercial deposit policy and any applicable consumer cancellation process. It forms part of these Terms.

For a business purchase, the £200 deposit reserves production capacity and is normally retained if you cancel, subject to the Refund and Cancellation Policy and any written agreement to the contrary.

If you legally qualify as a consumer and enter into a distance service contract, you normally have a 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after the contract is entered into. Statutory rights take priority over a conflicting business deposit term.

14. Starting work during a consumer cancellation period

The Website Pilot is intended to start quickly. A consumer who wants work to begin during an applicable cancellation period must make a separate express request at checkout.

If work starts following that request and the consumer cancels before completion, the consumer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied up to cancellation, as permitted by law and explained in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

A consumer loses the statutory cancellation right because of full performance during that period only where the legal requirements are met, including the required prior request and acknowledgement. The early-performance control is separate from acceptance of these Terms and from analytics or advertising consent.

15. Quality and statutory rights

Techne Kaizen will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Inactive projects

If required information, access, feedback or approval is not provided, Techne Kaizen may pause the project. If there has been no substantive response for 90 consecutive days, Techne Kaizen may close the original engagement after making a reasonable attempt to contact you.

Any treatment of the deposit or completed work remains subject to these Terms, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable statutory rights. Restarting later may require a new timetable or quotation.

17. Complaints and contact

Please send a complaint or contract question to info@technekaizen.com. Include enough information to identify the project. Techne Kaizen will acknowledge and investigate the issue and explain the proposed resolution.

18. Privacy and storage/access technologies

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is used. The Cookie and Storage Access Notice explains essential, analytics and advertising technologies and how to change optional choices.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory protection or right to bring proceedings available under the law that applies to you.
